Himes, Outstanding and Knowledgeable

[Oct. 20, 2008] In these turbulent world and economic times, I can't think of a stronger person to represent me in Congress than Jim Himes.

I am impressed by his considerable knowledge and experience of markets and economics, his ideas for addressing the energy needs of our country, his practical understanding of the importance of improving our educational system, and his awareness of the very specific, urgent need for a modern, efficient transportation system for our area. This is a time in our country that calls out for the kind of thoughtful, calm tone and manner -- aimed at getting things accomplished -- that I hear in Jim Himes. I feel fortunate to have such an outstanding person for whom to vote.
