Himes is the man for the job

[Sept. 19, 2008] No one, regardless of political affiliation, can deny that the nation’s economy is in a frightening mess.  If so, he or she is looking at different statistics than I am.  Hopefully, it’s not too late for a turnaround and Congressional candidate Jim Himes is the man for the job. 

Jim Himes understands the need for tax policies and an infrastructure that encourage jobs at homes rather than abroad.  He will work to prevent the type of abuse in the sub-prime mortgage business that helped create the disastrous economic state we face today.  The word change has gotten a workout in the current campaign—perhaps too much of a workout—but it’s a good one to use here.  Jim Himes will be a change and he will bring change—for the better.  Let’s get our country out of debt again.  A vote for Jim Hines is a step toward doing that.
