Dems and friends rally at People, Pies & Politics
An October chill was in the air and the campaign discussion was hot as nearly 100 Reddingites gathered at the West Redding Firehouse picnic grounds for People, Pies and Politics on Sunday, Oct. 19.
While pizza and pastry were a draw, the crowd was there to collect signs and stickers, register to vote (at right, Reddingite Michelle Green signs up as her daughter looks on) and get the latest word on local and national races. Chief topics: Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama, Himes' lead in the polls, and Bartlett's rebuttal of smears from Bethel Republican opponents (Bartlett visits below with Jill Kotch, Michelle Grande and Ann).
