You can be part of the historic Obama Era! Go backstage at the U.S. House of Representatives for a fall, spring or summer semester, while seeing government work up close.
High school juniors with a GPA of 3.0 (no GPA required for summer semester) can apply for this terrific learning opportunity via the Page Program site.

DTC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: For several years, the Redding Democratic Town Committee has supported local students who are pursuing higher education. Each spring, seniors from Joel Barlow High School have been awarded monies to be applied toward their college expenses. For more information about this annual program, contact the DTC.
YOUNG DEMS IN CONNECTICUT The mission of the Connecticut Young Democrats is to increase the participation of young people in the Democratic Party. This includes candidate development, elections and campaigns, and advocacy on issues set forth by an adopted platform, or other issues approved by the State Caucus.
DEMOCRATIC YOUTH STRATEGY COUNCIL is a group with national reach and grassroots impact. Its goal is to persuade Democratic Party leaders to invest more time, money, and resources into young people--including empowering young people to run for office. Over 20 State Parties have signed on to implement its recommendations.
RUNFOROFFICE.ORG is a project of the Democratic Youth Strategy Council (DYSC) whose mission is to empower grassroots activists to take their activism to the next level by running for political office. Its goal is to further engage citizens in their democracy and build a government that is truly of, by, and for the American people.
